Oil Control Valve (OCV) also known as Oil solenoid or VVT solenoid.
At first I thought it was the OCV oil ring…but since the leak came from the socket…for sure it’s the OCV itself leaks…
Symptoms : A bit slugish during VVT engage…
Solutions : Replace OCV

Patrick,
Engine oil is a good lubricant and non-conductive…So it won’t effect the reading…
OCV still working…
But then…when computer send a signal, the OCV will open and let the oil pressure pass through…since there’s and oil leaks on the OCV itself…will it operates smoothly ?
Don’t want to take any chances…so i just replace it…to make sure everthing runs smoothly

Jevon, u need to gently tap it with a flathead screwdriver to get it loose. Just one or two taps and not too hard and it’ss fall off centre…from there u can take it out by hand.
